As some of you know, the Nocham Family (Reut typically on Mondays with her forever “Hole in the Wall” and Itamar, her hubby, on Wednesdays and Erez and Boaz, their boys, with Ms Nicole at Kids Yoga), had finished their beloved chapter in Wilmette, and left yesterday. I had the pleasure of welcoming them to this community, and to be their last “home”, for the past few days. Reut has directed a couple of times at the Mackenzie Variety show, a talented and promising Post doc, and now, taking her family on a long road trip through the USA, with the final destination back home, in Israel – you will hear more and more about this super power SISTER!!!
The. Nochams have been my little brothers and sisters, their kids, my nephews and niece, they were best friend, they were family….they were a chapter in my book, I will read again and again and again!!!
You see, the idea of “temporary friendship/ relationships” has gotten so much bad rep over the years, but why???? Like anything that causes pain, here again, it is, ATTACHMENT!!! The need to know for how long we will have each other, how deep the relationship will be, how often we will see or talk to each other and how deep we will love…..These are all contracting thoughts- they limit both the heart AND the possibilities!! I loved this family so deep, it will last me a lifetime. I want the best for this family, it will trade the pain of goodbye with the excitement for their future. If I didn’t have them, I will simply not be the person I am today!!!! Pay attention to absolutely ANYONE who enters your life and take whatever you can- at the present moment!!!! Don’t plan the future together, don’t expect…..dong get hurt! We are a beautiful collection of the people we met, things we’ve done, emotions we felt, places we visited….memories we stored.
Free love should indeed be free – free to come, free to stay, free to leave!!!!
From now on, love the temporary, the uncertain….the mystery….let go of any sort of ownership – you’ll feel so light and allow all options to move through you, like many ships coming and going with the help a solid, grounded, timeless lighthouse…..
Good luck Nochams- you are loved and will be missed!!!!
