Last week was a challenge to our keeping up with the practice due to all the snow we have been getting, but I’m proud of you and what we have together at Neshama and classes were running smoothly- grateful!❤️
I’m with my crew here in Vail, Colorado and watching the mountains is a beautiful way to start the day with coffee and writing to you.
Yesterday while working out, I have listened to a great podcast by Jay Shetty, whose book we are following in classes now, THINK LIKE A MONK. It was titled 8 TYPES OF PEOPLE YOU WANT TO HAVE IN YOUR LIFE IN 2022. I was so happy to learn I have all these 8; in some cases, a person in my life may exhibit the 8 types of people wrapped in one, and in some other cases, I find one important type, in different friends and in different circles. One way or the other, I was reminded again, just how lucky I was/ am!!!
I so recommend this podcast to all of you but if you can’t get to it, here is the main point:
You want people in your life to check on you, to check YOU ( challenge you when you wrong and not just politely agree), people to cheer you on, people you can turn to when things fall apart and people who find YOU, when they need the same, people who share similar values and dreams, and people who CHALLENGE these ( healthy for your growth….don’t stay stagnant), people who are good mentors ; professionally or just in life, people to be silly and have fun with,…..people to walk through life with, WITHOUT LOOSING or hiding YOURSELF!!!
My outmost dream in Neshama, is to create a community when you truly exit you home door, each and every day with one simple super power….YOU!!!!
I loved how Jay composes a list that doesn’t only serve you as a person, but the story as a whole – you, your calling and the world ahead, if we choose well.
If you have even a few of the 8, according to Jay, you are already blessed and if you have at the least one person, in each category- you are beyond blessed and should now work on keeping up and nurture this relationship because nothing good in life, runs on empty!!!
In 2022, GOING HOME, let’s guide each other to our personal “8 Types of People”❤️
