Today we have officially opened up “Mother’s Day” weekend celebrations by such a soulful Rise and Flow at 6:15am.
If there is anything I love about teaching yoga, it is the honor and privilege I get by celebrating with you such important days as Mother’s Day!!! I get to tap into the amazing female energy of all generations, colors, race backgrounds and religion and curate a class tied by a message, a quiet stillness, a tuning in to breath tied to movement (the vinyasa magic) and music to lift the spirit high and harness a communal female power, like NO OTHER!!! I am beyond grateful to the strong men who came to be one with us today; to honor, cherish and support all the women in their lives!
With music I’ve tried to curate to fit such sacred art as parenting, and with my favorite poem on the subject, by Khalil Gibran, “On Children”, I was able to yet again, celebrate a day so important to me, with a crew of women I simply have grown to adore- THANK YOU!!!
More on my love to this day, to parenting, to the above poem and the magic it hides in guiding our kids, please read the Mother’s Day Love Note post from a year ago, as it is still an intense Echo in my heart and in my mind.
