Last Tuesday, on June 21st, the world celebrated a holiday so dear to me, The International day of Yoga!
This beautiful idea for a holiday which celebrates EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, who seeks a union between body and spirit, was brought to the United Nations General Assembly in 2014, by India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi.
And so it was, since 2015, on June 21st, on our auspicious summer solstice, we all come to respect a practice NOT based on religion, prestige, gender, color, time or place. A practice which Unite ALL which we are, inside out, previous life and current, physical, mental and spiritual.
Now you all know how much I adore the power hidden in SIGNS- you do, right????? The man who became my best friend, a partner to a value system which respects ALL and commits to timeless truth, the father of my most favorite humans, my husband, and I, tie the knot on June 20th, 1999. Not exactly summer solstice you say???
Think again!!!! according to Judaism, with sundown, the next day comes in. And as such, after all, I was married to my man, on summer solstice, in 1999, later becoming an international day of the thing I SO believe in….YOGA WAY OF LIFE ❤️❤️❤️
Yoga found me. I found it. We found each other’s and my vision is to spread and heal with it as many as I possible can!!!
BUT YOU GOT TO SHOW UP FOR IT TO WORK!
